Cruise ships of varying sizes can berth within 200 metres of Salamanca Place. In this picture you can see the historic Hunter Street buildings in the distance. These warehouses predate the Salamanca Place ones and house the University of Tasmania School of Art. The area bounded by Salamanca Place and the waterfront around to Hunter Street is called Sullivans Cove. It's all part of the Lifestyle Precinct #1. |
