USS Tarawa arrived off Sandy Bay at 0900 on 10th May 2008. We were amazed at the amount of hardware on deck and it's great that they can bring her right into the city. At about 0910 a jet went over and did a couple of turns just to attract the attention of those who missed her silent approach. I'm glad they're on our side :-)  KM

Expected to arrive in Hobart on the 10th May for a few days R & R and for commemoration of the Battle of Coral Sea.
