The Spindle Tree specialises in handcrafted knitwear and accessories.

Established over sixteen years ago to provide an outlet for those interested in producing hand crafted items. Members of the co-operative bring speciality craft and design skills to each item they create. This is the place to meet the maker of that special item or just to browser amongst the goods.

Items in the store are highly individualistic with members often creating their own designs using hand spun and hand dyed wools. Many of the members have regularly been awarded high praise at local and interstate Agricultural Shows. The Co-op is especially proud of Jo Payne's work, one of her woven rugs now resides with Princess Mary in Denmark.

Select from a range of handcrafted hats, gloves, scarves, socks, shawls and rugs. If you are looking for that special garment then look no further. Jumpers, ponchos, cardigans and vests in a variety of sizes from baby up.

Looking for that special gift then look no further, come and browse our range of Australian knitted animals, bookmarks, felt slippers, lace bobbins, lavender pouches, embroidered wool blankets, glass cases, rocking rams and rocking horse.

If you are looking to create your own garment then the Spindle Tree's unique range of Tasmanian grown wool, mohair, alpaca, wool and silk and hand dyed wools and embroidery threads are just what you need. Need a dye for your latest project? We stock the complete Landscape dye range. View the colour chart by clicking here, select your colours and then place your order via email.
